HaHa Hawke's Bay Rosé 2018
HaHa Hawke's Bay Rosé 2018
Description
"Bright pale strawberry pink colour with slight purple hues, lighter on the rim. Yje nose is very fresh, bright and full with a firm core of strawberries and cream entwined with red floral notes and some lifted fresh fermentation esters and confectionary elements. This is youthfully mouthwatering. Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has a finely concentrated core with sweet flavours of strawberries and cream melded with floral and confectionary elements, and some fresh fermentation esters. The mouthfeel is juicy and lush, and is balanced by racy, thirst-quenching acidity. The wine flows along a very fine-textured line, leading to a lingering finish of strawberries and cream, and confectionary, with a little grip. This is a rich and juicy dryish rosé with flavours of strawberries and cream along with confectionary notes on a racy, mouthwatering palate. Match with antipasto and dim sum over the next 2 years. A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Malbec, minimally pressed on skins and cool-fermented to 12.0% alc. and 1.6 g/L RS" Raymond Chan, Jul 2018
"It is fabulously lifted on the nose showing nectarine, rockmelon and strawberry aromas, followed by a delectable palate that is juicy and vibrant. The wine offers youthful charm and lively mouthfeel, finishing lingering and very tasty. At its best: now to 2020" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jul 2018
This Rose displays a salmon pink colour in the glass. Beautifully fragrant with strawberry, lifted florals and a hint of wild bramble on the nose. Bursting with red berries, florals and a hint of spice, this is an elegant Rose with a lingering crisp, dry finish.
This wine is produced from vineyards in the Hawke’s Bay region of New Zealand. The soils are rocky ancient river beds with a mix of free draining stony soils and clay loams.
A combination of hand picked and machine harvested fruit, with minimal pressing on its skins. A remarkable summer with cool evening temperatures and harvested early to ensure beautiful flavour and fruit intensity.
Food Pairing: Delicious as an aperitif with long lunches. Alternatively, enjoy with grilled crayfish, hot smoked salmon or just with a bowl of fresh strawberries!
