"This is a fabulous young pinot. Bright, ripe and fragrant, the inviting bouquet shows dark plum, blueberry, raspberry and floral characters with subtle spicy complexity. The palate is beautifully fruited and rounded, and offers excellent fruit richness and intensity, wonderfully supported by silky texture and fine tannins"

This Mystery Pinot is lively and young with bright, ripe, inviting bouquet of dark plum, blueberry, raspberry and floral characters with subtle spicy complexity. The palate is fruited and rounded offering strong fruit richness and intensity, supporting a silky texture and fine tannins. This Mystery Pinot was sourced from this Mystery winery's home vineyard in the Wairarapa and is comprised of several different clones. Once in the winery, these parcels were processed separately so that the winemaker could see the individual characters on their own, allwoing them to add further complexities by incorporating different techniques and yeast combinations in the wine making process.

2 x Mystery Wairarapa Rose 2016

AWARDED 86/100 POINTS: Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, May 2018

"A generously expressed rosé, the nicely lifted bouquet shows Gala apple, ripe strawberry, rockmelon and subtle spice aromas, leading to a succulent palate that is rounded and fruity. The wine offers attractive ripe fruit flavours and vibrant mouthfeel, finishing lingering and crisp" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, May 2018

On the nose this Mystery Rose shows fresh fruit aromas of watermelon raspberry and strawberry that are complemented by a subtle biscuit nuance from lees aging. The palate is a burst of bright fruit, wrapped in a smooth creamy texture leading to a delicious dry finish. Delightful on its own as a versatile anytime wine, this Rose is also great match with crayfish bisque, smoked salmon canapes or strawberries and cream. This Rose is sourced from our home vineyards in Wairarapa where the free draining soils and temperate sunny climate are ideal for ripening grapes The fruit was harvested and processed with minimal skin contact to ensure a fresh pale colour before cool fermentation for enhanced fruitiness. Post ferment extended aging on lees, along with a small portion in barrel, have given the wine added complexity.

2 x Mystery Wairarapa Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Awarded Gold Medal: China Wine & Spirits 'Best Value' Awards

Awarded 90/100 Points: Cameron Douglas, Master Somilier

This crisply styled, refreshing wine has a wonderful combination of lime, passionfruit and gooseberry aromas with a hint of minerality – typical stylish Sauvignon Blanc! We love to drink it with seafood and pasta dishes and delicious summer salads. While this wine is ready to drink now, it can also be cellared for up to two years. The fruit for this wine was grown in two Wairarapa vineyards with different soils, one on stony loam, the other a hillside clay. This variety helps to increase the complexity of the wine. In the winery tank fermention, using yeasts that are able to ferment to low temperatures, preserves the essential fruit flavours whilst adding complexity.
