Collection includes:

1 x Goldwater Wairau Valley Pinot Noir 2016

Awarded Gold Medal: Air New Zealand, 2017

Awarded 18/20 Points: Raymond Chan, Nov 2017

"The nose is elegant in proportion with a fine, tight core of ripe, dark-red and black cherry fruit with hints of blackberries and dark herbs, and an amalgam of violet florals and minerals. Medium-full bodied, the palate is elegant and refined in presentation, with a softly concentrated core of ripe, dark-red and black cherry fruit with notes of dark raspberries and blackberries, unfolding nuances of herbs and florals. The fruit is underlined by light, fine-grained tannin extraction, and balanced by soft acidity. The flavours blossom on the mid-palate and carry to an elegant, moderately long finish" Raymond Chan, Nov 2017

2016 in the Wairau Valley was defined  by moderate temperatures, chilly nights and little rainfall. The combination of low-fertility soils and a cool climate naturally restricted  yields, intensifing fruit flavours in this wine, arriving to the winery possessing extraordinary flavours and texture. Show casing the influence of the Wairau Valley's unique climate and complex soils, this wine has a vibrant colour and fine tannins ensured by the use of hand-plunging techniques during fermentation. The wine was then aged in French oak barriques for ten months.

1 x Russian Jack Martinborough Pinot Noir 2016

Awarded Gold Medal: Royal Easter Show Wine Awards, 2018

Awarded Gold Medal: New World Wine Awards, 2017

Awarded 95/100 Points: New World Wine Awards, 2017

Awarded 93/100 Points - 5 Stars: Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Aug 2017

Awarded 17.5/20 Points: Raymond Chan, Aug 2017

"A wine that is both elegant and refined and becomes more fruity as it develops in the glass. When the famous gastronome Andre Simon remarked, 'Wine makes every meal an occasion, every table more elegant, every day more civilized' he could have been describing this Pinot Noir. It's the perfect dinner guest" New World Wine Awards, 2017

"Elegantly proportioned with fresh dark-red berry and cherry fruit along with subtle notes of savoury herbs. Medium-bodied, the palate has a lively core of savoury dark-red berry and cherry fruit melded with dark herbs. The fruit is supported by light, grainy tannin grip providing mouthfeel, with fresh, lacy acidity lending energy. The flavours carry to an elegant, lingering finish" Raymond Chan, Aug 2017

"Beautifully lifted and attractive. Ripe, juicy and vibrant, displaying excellent fruit weight and purity. The wine shows lovely presence on the palate, finishing impressively long and silky" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Aug 2017.

The Martinborough region were this wine is grown accounts for only 1% of New Zealand’s wine production, but its sunny days, cooler nights, dry climate and mineral-laden rocky soils make it a premier location for growing world class Pinot Noir. Russian Jack, whom this wine is named after, was a much loved 'gentleman of the road' in this region during the early 1900s. This mysterious man was welcomed onto the farms during the harvest picking fruit into his old age. Today a statue is dedicated to his memory in the town of Masterton.

"A beautifully styled pinot, exhibiting excellent fruit concentration and purity, wonderfully enhanced by seductive savoury undertones" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jan 2017

"Softly full and voluminous with good depth of dark-red berried fruits melded with nutty oak elements. Medium-bodied, the palate is elegantly presented with gently juicy flavours along with a subtle layering of dark herbs and florals, which is enlivened by fresh, lacy acidity" Raymond Chan, Jan 2017

"Bright and juicy, with supple, creamy tannins and a core of raspberry and cherry flavours. Details of spice, blood orange and cedar linger on the finish" Maryann Worobiec, Wine Spectator

"Smooth with lush texture & dense, ripe black cherry, spice and oak notes. Juicy, deep, long and balanced" Anthony Dias-Blue, Blue Reviews/The Tasting Panel

"Very fruity, ripe and varietal bouquet. Very youthful and tense on the nose, but with complexity leading to high expectations on the palate. Tannin impact with velvet silk textures; youthful, tense and lengthy" Cameron Douglas, Master of Sommelier

As a personal favourite of Mt. Beautiful’s owner David Teece, it’s incredibly important for Mt. Beautiful that their Pinot Noir showcases the best aspects of the varietal. Subtlety is the secret inside this wine. It begins with sophisticated floral fragrances of violets and blackberries, while showcasing an elegant medium weight palate that features ripe blackberry fruit, earthiness and subtle tannins.
