Description
"Pristine and bright, the inviting bouquet shows red apple, nectarine, raspberry and floral characters. The palate is equally delightful and appealing with juicy fruit flavours and fine texture, brilliantly structured by crisp acidity, finishing vibrant and mouth-watering. At its best: now to 2020" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jul 2018
"Bright, very pale pink colour, near colourless on the rim. The nose is fresh and fragrant with lifted aromas of red florals, strawberries and red berry fruits entwined with fresh fermentation esters of bananas and confectionary. This has depth and density and shows aromatic clarity, whilst retaining elegant and slender. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has a good, rounded heart with concentrated flavours of red florals, strawberries, soft-red berry fruits melded with fresh fermentation esters and confectionary elements. The mouthfeel is soft, rounded and smooth-flowing with a light phenolic line and integrated lacy acidity guiding the wine. The wine carries to a long, lingering finish of florals and esters. This is a very youthful Blanc de Noirs with soft floral, strawberry flavours and fermentation esters on a smooth-flowing palate and a light phenolic line. Serve as an aperitif, with canapés and Asian fare over the next 2 years. A Blanc de Noir. 100% Pinot Noir, hand-picked from the estate, given minimal skin contact, WBP and fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and 4.7 g/L RS" Raymond Chan, Jun 2018
"Very pale Rosé with a pretty pink tint. Light, fresh wine with subtle cherry and raspberry wine gum flavours. A soft and ethereal wine, with subtle sweetness nicely balanced by gentle acidity" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Nov 2018
By far one of Central Otago’s best examples of a “Blanc de Noir” which translates as 'White from Dark / Black' – white wine made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. Amazingly delicious, crisp, yet textural, an impressive wine, you’ve just gotta try!
This unique Blanc de Noir was made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, grown on the winemakers family owned vineyard. Ripe hand picked fruit and gentle winemaking have given a wonderfully balanced wine. The elegant champagne colour resulted from minimal skin contact prior to a gentle whole bunch press. The juice was fermented in stainless steel to retain the varietal and fruit characteristics. The wine shows delightful aromas of stone fruit, melon and toffee with white peach, red berries and a hint of spice on the palate. Best served slightly chilled.
