Description
Ripe apple and the fuller figured pear saunter into view with lovely spice and vanilla trailing behind. They chatter in gentle, sweet tones.
Fruit was sourced from the Kokako farms vineyard in the Ohiti Valley, Hawkes Bay. The grapes were gently pressed and the juice settled briefly prior to racked to stainless steel tanks for fermentation. Multiple small ferments were conducted using different yeast strains. Some to highlight the beautiful aromatics of Pinot gris, and some to enhance the textural qualities of the wine. After a short maturation on lees, the young wine was blended and bottled.
