Description

This is a lively sparkling Pinot Noir Rose that will excite your palate and bring celebration to any occasion. A vivacious sparkling rose with an abundance of strawberry and cranberry aromas, plus nuances of rose petal and orange blossom. 100% Pinot Noir grapes, it exudes red fruit flavours finished with a slight sweet spice.

This range's name is inspired by the Kiwi's favourite past time of endless summer months spent on New Zealand's blue ocean waters at their favourite fishing spots, known as Snapper Rock’s, hoping to catch this elusive fish. Crafted to capture New Zealand’s maritime climate & unique terroir and are best enjoyed with good food, great company, a setting sun and an open fire.

New Zealand is unique, and so are Snapper Rock's wines as a result. The special combination of soil, climate and water, and their innovative pioneering spirit and commitment to quality all come together to deliver pure, intense and diverse wines in this fantastic range of wines. This Methode Traditionnelle is no exception coming from a single vineyard site in the new Marlborough sub-region of Ward. The grapes were picked at dawn to retain freshness from a special parcel of the Pinot Noir clone, Abel.

In the winery these grapes were gently pressed and fermented, being left of their skins for a short while to give the wine it’s Rose colour. The wine has then undergone Methode Traditionnelle (the same method used to make Champagne) at Allan Scotts Family Winery to give it its fine bubbles and depth of character.
