"Ripe, fragrant and inviting, the attractive bouquet shows youthful fruit notes of dark plum, raspberry and blueberry compote with mixed spice and toasted nut characters. The palate is succulent and rounded, offering plenty of tasty flavours and smooth texture, leading to a lingering silky finish. Very friendly and enjoyable. At its best: now to 2019." This Cabernet Sauvignon shows an abundance of flavour, with lovely blackcurrant, blackberry and cherry fruits and a hint of vanilla oak. The finish is smooth and silky. This is an elegant wine that will complement a vast array of foods.
The Wine Men of Gotham is homage to the Wise Men of Gotham England, who if tradition is to be believed, were not simply, but simply 'wine enough to play the fool'.
A dry start to the season, followed by timely rain and cooler conditions, brought about outstanding quality reds this harvest. Drink now and for the next 3-5 years.
