Description

Water white with a hint of green and gold in the glass with lifted aromatics of canned peaches, pineapple and elderflower. Palate displays rockmelon, Cape gooseberry and crushed sweet meadow grass. Distinctly Sauvignon Blanc finish, with linear acidity balanced by creamy mouthfeel.

Perched high on the hills overlooking Marlborough's Awatere Valley, Loveblock is far removed from the agricultural bustle in the valley below. From here you can almost see the end of the planet; the peace lifts you above your troubles. At Loveblock, wineamkers are charged with creating the best wine they can to express this extraordinary place and its unique aspect. Following their deeply held belief in low intervention farming which enables the wine to show its true and naked terroir.

The grapes were sourced from Loveblock's Woolshed vineyard on Loveblock Farm, in the Lower Dashwood subregion of Marboroughs Awatere Valley. The vineyard is certified organic with BioGro. Ideal flowering conditions, followed by a warm dry summer, meant that the grapes were picked in perfect condition
in April.

Machine-harvested in the cool Marlborough mornings, the fruit for this wine was batch produced in small amounts. The batches were fermented separately,
with a small portion barrel fermented in neutral old French oak barrels where malolactic fermentation occurred. In addition, a quarter of the tanks underwent
full malolactic fermentation to reduce acidity.

Food Pairing: Goes well with Chiken and a range of seafood, we recommend pairing with kiwi favourites such as whitebait and good old "fush n' chups"!
