Description

So successful were our first couple of selections of hard-hitting kings of Europe we have put together round 3!

As before if you are a serious fan of European wine then you won't find a better selection of high performing, big hitting reds!

Rich, dark fruit and lashings of spice are the hallmarks of the delicious reds in this case...

This new new mixed case includes:

1 x Fontella Chianti DOCG 2015 (Italy)

AWARDED 90/100 POINTS: James Suckling, jamessuckling.com

Chianti as a region boasts some of the world's finest wines as well as fantastic food-friendly bargains and the Fontella is a glorious example of this, seeming a little more 'grown-up' than most other comparably priced quaffers...

Fontella is a traditional Chianti, being predominantly Sangiovese with a splash of Canaiolo and Colorino. Medium-bodied and easy-drinking in style, it is stainless steel fermented to maximise freshness and fruit expression. The resulting soft, harmonious flavours of dark cherry, plum, chocolate and marzipan make this wine taste like it could be three times the price.

AWARDED GOLD MEDAL: Concours General Agricole Paris 2017
