Spicy nectarine and peach stone aromatics with a mineral infused and apricot kernel driven palate. A lush, textural wine with great persistence and finesse.

Merrill’s Block is a warm and sheltered plot in the vineyard which was planted in 2002 with the GM2 clone of Pinot Blanc. These small, tight bunches are handpicked early in the vineyard to encourage freshness in this early drinking style of wine.

The grapes for this Pinot Blanc were whole bunch pressed with no settling to enhance texture and retain more influence from the vineyard. Half of the juice was barrel fermented in old oak casks with the remaining half in stainless steel tank. After six months on yeast lees we filter and lightly fine the wine for balance, conviviality and polish.
