2 x Russian Jack Martinborough Pinot Noir 2016

Awarded Gold Medal: Royal Easter Show Wine Awards, 2018

Awarded 95/100 Points & Gold Medal: New World Wine Awards, 2017

Awarded 93/100 Points - 5 Stars: Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

Awarded 17.5/20 Points: Raymond Chan, Aug 2017

Russian Jack, whom this wine is named after, was a much loved 'gentleman of the road', becoming a legendary 'swagger' in the 1900s in the Wellington area. During fruit harvest this mysterious man was welcomed onto the farms where he picked fruit into his old age. A statue dedicated to his memory now stands in the town of Masterton.

"Both elegant and refined. More fruity as it develops in the glass. When the famous gastronome Andre Simon remarked, 'Wine makes every meal an occasion, every table more elegant, every day more civilized' he could have been describing this Pinot Noir. It's the perfect dinner guest" New World Wine Awards, 2017

"The nose is elegantly proportioned with fresh dark-red berry and cherry fruit. Medium-bodied, the palate has a lively core of savoury dark-red berry and cherry fruit melded with dark herbs. The fruit is supported by light, grainy tannin grip. Fresh, lacy acidity with lending energy, carrying to an elegant, lingering finish of savoury red fruits and dark herbs" Raymond Chan, Aug 2017

"Ripe, juicy and vibrant, and displays excellent fruit weight and purity, wonderfully supported by fine tannins. The wine shows lovely presence on the palate, and finishes impressively long and silky" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Aug 2017

Food Pairing: Serve with full-bodied game meat dishes to complement this wines lively core of savoury dark-red berry notes.

Seal: Screw Cap - Alc: 14%

2 x Peter Yealands Reserve Marlborough Pinot Noir 2016

Awarded Gold Medal: Sydney International Wine Competition 2018

Thinking differently is what they do at Yealands, crafting award winning wines in harmony with nature, leading the world in sustainable wine-growing to create great wines which don’t cost the earth!

Intensely perfumed with lifted savoury notes interlaced with dark fruits. The tannins are soft and silky, layered with plush, ripe fruit.

The 2016 growing season started out incredibly dry, with some even predicting a severe drought. Fortunately however, some unseasonal rains in February set the vines up for a great final ripening period. Conditions over the flowering period were stable, creating nice even crop levels in the vineyards which translated into wines with great concentration and texture. The low yielding Pinot Noir blocks were then harvested at optimum ripeness - resulting wine is showing the wonderful hallmarks that Marlborough is known for – lifted fruit flavours in the berry spectrum balanced with earthy savoury notes, vibrancy, purity and structure. In the winery a fast, hot fermentation proceeded with regular and gentle mixing of the juice over the skins, also helped to craft a wine with elegance and balance.

Food Pairing: Enjoy with red meats such as venison or slow roasted leg of lamb.

2 x Peregrine Saddleback Central Otago Pinot Noir 2016

Awarded Gold Medal: New Zealand International Wine Show 2017

A wonderful expression of Central Otago Pinot Noir: round, luscious and fruit forward with lots of flavours and lovely soft tannins. This Pinot Noir is bursting with floral aromas and red cherry perfume. Rich and juicy with wild raspberry, black cherry and sweet spice flavours.

The 2016 season saw a long autumn with beautiful warm days that gave lovely extended ripening. This wine was 100% hand harvested from Central Otago sub-regions (7% Bendigo, 51% Pisa, 42% Gibbston), before spending 10 months in older French Oak.

Food Pairing: Beef brisket croquettes with Asian coleslaw
