A delicious full-bodied Pinot Gris with appealing aromas of fragrant ripe pear and warm baked short crust pastry. The palate is textural and full bodied with rich flavours of golden pear crumble and a light touch of spice. A long lingering finish showing classical elegance and finely balanced acidity.
This wine was produced with fruit from select Marlborough vineyards and harvested in the cool of the evening to maintain fresh fruit flavours. A small portion was fermented in seasoned oak and underwent malolactic fermentation in order to add complexity and texture. Drinking well now, this wine will increase in complexity over at least the next three years.
Food Pairing: Beautifully matched with pumpkin risotto or Thai cuisine.
