Description

"The wine is instantly appealing on the nose showing poached pear, ripe stone fruit, rockmelon and floral characters, which lead to a fruit-expressive palate that is ripe and rounded, and finishes beautifully long and silky. It is pristine and inviting, and delectable to the finish. At its best: now to 2018" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, July 2016

This wonderfully perfumed wine has aromas of antique rose, lychee, white peaches and exotic spices. The succulent and richly textured palate reveals intense stonefurits, quince and freshly cut root ginger. The finish is long and delicately poised with a hint of acidity to balance a mourish, succulent and silky finish.

Lightly honeyed yellow. Antique rose, lychee, white peach and exotic spices. Succulent and textured palate of intense stonefruit, quince and freshly cut root ginger before a long and mourish finish.

Stony soils with overlying sandy loam, deep river silt and free draining gravels (Waimea Plains); Coastal terraces intertwined with heavier clay seams and fractured gravels (Moutere Hills)

Four unique vineyard parcels gently destemmed and pressed to stainless steel tanks. Fermented cool with selected aromatic yeast strains to retain varietal intensity and character. Post ferment a light racking to retain silky lees and allow yeast autolysis for four months prior to careful blending

I purchased this as a recommended wine match to a Thai Fragrant Lemongrass and Lime Leaf Chicken Curry in the recent Dish magazine, I have to agree with the experts it's sweet and spiciness was a delicious accompaniment to the dish and my new found fave gerwurtz!
