Money Back Guarantee
Wines - Money Back Guarantee:
All wine on blackmarket.co.nz (other than Excluded Wine as defined below) carries a full money back guarantee from the associated winery/distributor.
If you believe the first bottle of wine from any case to be faulty or defective , simply contact blackmarket.co.nz at returns@blackmarket.co.nz and we will inform the associated winery/distributor who will contact you directly to arrange the return of the remaining unopened bottles and the refund of the full purchase price.
The money back guarantee only applies to wine you believe to be faulty or defective and where you have contacted us within 30 days of the purchase date and within two days of the day the bottle of wine was opened.
Wine found to be faulty or defective after 30 days of the purchase date will be replaced by the associated winery/distributor with a bottle of the same wine (subject to availability). You must retain the sample of the corked wine for the winery/distributor’s assessment to receive a replacement bottle.
Excluded Wine:
The money back guarantee does not apply to any wine that is:
(a) priced at over $250 per bottle; or
(b) not sold in multiples of 6 (regardless of the number of bottles purchased).
Storage:
All wine purchased through the blackmarket.co.nz site should be stored as directed by the associated winery/distributor. If the associated winery/distributor provides no direction in relation to storage, wine should be stored in accordance with usual good practice (having regard to temperature, light, humidity). Failure on your part to store wine correctly may cause the wine to deteriorate and the money back guarantee or the remedies otherwise available under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 may not be available as a result.
Consumer Guarantees Act:
The money back guarantee is not an attempt by the associated winery/distributor to contract out of the Consumer Guarantees Act. The associated winery/distributor is bound by the provisions of that Act except where wine is purchased for business purposes.
Customers still have recourse to the remedies contained in the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. If you wish to make a complaint under that Act, please contact blackmarket.co.nz at returns@blackmarket.co.nz and we will forward your message to the associated winery/distributor.
