"Vibrant red with some purple hues, this shiraz cabernet has aromas of red berry fruit and plums with a hint of wood. On the palate it shows vibrant mouth-filling fruit with cherry and plum, good length, a touch of wood and a soft full finish." Bairnsdale Advertiser - Mick Plozza
The grapes for this wine were picked at night to ensure that they were as cool as possible. Crushed to modern rotary fermenters the grapes were then allowed to macerate for 2 days before inoculation and fermentation. Pressed off skins 7 days later and allowed to go through the second malolactic fermentation. The wine has then had minimal handling prior to filtration for bottling.

South Australia’s Limestone Coast is justifiably famous for its Cabernet Sauvignon. Our soils and climate, while somewhat different to Cabernet’s home in and around the important and graceful French coastal city of Bordeaux, offer the vintage conditions, which suit this late-ripening classic variety. "a light, crisp and steely textured wine"
"Brilliant straw-yellow colour, this has a fresh, elegant nose of white stonefruits and spiced pears along with some herb nuances. Off-dry to taste, this is a light, crisp and steely textured wine showing aromatic pear and nectarine fruit flavours with some honey notes. Up-front and uncomplicated, the crisp nature will make it a good match with seafood and moderately flavoured Pacific Rim or Asian cuisine over the next 2 years" Raymond Chan.

"We believe this to be the finest Village Chardonnay we have made" Paul Brajkovich
top 100 wines for summer: Metro Magazine
The 2009 vintage provided us with Chardonnay of real purity and finesse across all of our vineyards. The wines are supple, refreshing and beautifully concentrated. The Village wine from 2009 benefited from the decision to leave the hard press portion of our Chardonnays out of the Village wine. As a result the 2009 Village Chardonnay is particularly supple with a very fine texture that makes the wine delicious to drink.
This wine was fermented 1/3 French oak barriques, and 2/3 in stainless steel tanks... Read more »
