MAKING PORT SINCE 1822...THEY NOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!

Of an average cask age of ten years, it is a young port of russet color with brilliant crimson highlights and a fragrant, ripe-fruit bouquet. Its smooth, silky texture and subtle oak nuances are balanced by a fresh acidity and tannic ‘grip’ that culminate in a long, elegant finish.

The Fonseca Guimaraens house style is one of richness and warmth, with a lush fruit intensity and a structure of both dimension and finesse. More voluptuous than massive, Fonseca Ports are coveted for their sumptuous yet refined body and great longevity.

310 years old and still going strong!

Deep ruby-red colour, with garnet rim. Classic intense black fruit nose. Firm, vigorous, full-bodied palate, with powerful fruit flavours and a long finish.

Taylor's Special Ruby Port is blended from red wines produced in the Baixo Corgo and Cima Corgo areas of the upper Douro Valley, selected for their depth of colour, intense fruit and full, firm palate. These wines are matured for about three years in oak vats, where they soften and develop without losing their fresh, intense fruity character and their deep ruby colour.

Taylor's Special Ruby is bottled for immediate drinking and should not need to be decanted unless the bottle has been kept for some time. It is an excellent dessert wine, particularly with ripe, blue cheeses. It should be served... Read more »

5 STARS: Winestate Magazine

4 STARS: Cuisine Magazine

In 1844 Christopher Rawson Penfold planted vines on the slopes of Magill to produce fortified wines. Penfolds is now proud to present a range of fortified wines that is a continuation of more than 160 years of winemaking tradition.

For nearly 60 years Penfolds Club has been one of Australia's favourite choices of Tawny. Beginning life as Penfolds Five Star Club Tawny in the 1940s, this wine has grown with the nation. Penfolds Club is blended from more than 200 components to offer the complexity and consistency that is expected of the Penfolds 'house' style and has an average age of three years.

310 years and still going strong

Taylor’s Special Tawny Port is characterised by smoothness and is a relatively full tawny, with a pronounced fruity character. This blended port, selected from lighter wines made in the Douro, is aged in wooden casks of around 600 litres for three years before being bottled. This provides smoothness and gives the wine the slightest hint of wood.

Taylor's is the largest and one of the oldest Port houses in Portugal. Taylor’s Special Tawny Port is particularly popular in Continental Europe where it is drunk predominantly as an aperitif. For those preferring a lighter style, this versatile port can also be enjoyed after meals and should be served slightly chilled in the summer months.

FRESH, SWEET AND BEAUTIFULLY BALANCED DESSERT WINE

The price of this wine should shock you. If it doesn't, try the wine. Then it'll shock you! It is so refreshing with beautifully balanced sweetness and acid, plus a nice clean botrytis dimension to it also. Super dessert wine from Monbazillac - France's 'other' great sweet wine region. This is a genuine bargain, a must try wine.

THE ARISTOCRAT OF VINTAGE PORT!

97/100: Wine Spectator

95/100: Robert Parker

With a history extending back to the 17th Century, Taylor's are universally acknowledged as one of the World's leading Port producers, by using the best fruit from their superior vineyards in the Douro valley, and entirely traditional methods to make their Port (the grapes are even crushed under foot!).

"A big wine with superb balance, a shining example of this exuberantly fruity vintage. Deep ruby, with violets and coffee on the nose, full-bodied, with dried cherry flavors and plenty of tannin, balanced and long on the finish." - 97/100 Wine Spectator

"This house must certainly be the Latour of Portugal. Of all the vintage... Read more »

THE PERFECT SWEET WINE

100/100: Robert Parker

"The rare Muscat may be even better than the rare Tokay, but the system stops at 100 points! It is equally rich, profound, concentrated and unctuous, with explosive aromatic fireworks." 100/100 Robert Parker

THE PERFECT SCORE!

100/100:y Robert Parker"The rare Tokay is a thick, unctuous, brown sugar-imbued fruit bomb revealing notes of balsamic vinegar intermixed with a smorgasboard of heavenly delights including caramel, melted toffee, maple syrup, and asian spices. It must be tasted to be believed." 100/100 Robert Parker

LIFE IS TOO SHIRT NOT TO TRY THIS WINE.....

99/100: Robert Parker

"This luxurious offering, possesses such extraordinary unctuosity, thickness, complexity and richness that it must be tasted to be believed. It possesses notes of smoke, roasted nuts, coffee, brown sugar, maple syrup, prunes, honey, fruitcake, overripe orange/apricots and remarkable spicy characters. I use the Rosewood sweeties for many charitable meals/wine tastings I donate to, and guests always go ga-ga over these rarities. In summary, life is too short not to try this wine... a true Australian treasure." 99/100 Robert Parker
