MAKING PORT SINCE 1822...THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!
Of an average cask age of ten years, it is a young port of russet color with brilliant crimson highlights and a fragrant, ripe-fruit bouquet. Its smooth, silky texture and subtle oak nuances are balanced by a fresh acidity and tannic ‘grip’ that culminate in a long, elegant finish.
The Fonseca Guimaraens house style is one of richness and warmth, with a lush fruit intensity and a structure of both dimension and finesse. More voluptuous than massive, Fonseca Ports are coveted for their sumptuous yet refined body and great longevity.

310 years old and still going strong! Gold: NZIS
Deep ruby-red colour, with garnet rim. Classic intense black fruit nose. Firm, vigorous, full-bodied palate, with powerful fruit flavours and a long finish.
Taylor's Special Ruby Port is blended from red wines produced in the Baixo Corgo and Cima Corgo areas of the upper Douro Valley, selected for their depth of colour, intense fruit and full, firm palate. These wines are matured for about three years in oak vats, where they soften and develop without losing their fresh, intense fruity character and their deep ruby colour.
Taylor's Special Ruby is bottled for immediate drinking and should not need to be decanted unless the bottle has been kept for... Read more »

In 1844 Christopher Rawson Penfold planted vines on the slopes of Magill to produce fortified wines. Penfolds is now proud to present a range of fortified wines that is a continuation of more than 160 years of winemaking tradition. For nearly 60 years Penfolds Club has been one of Australia's favourite choices of Tawny. Beginning life as Penfolds Five Star Club Tawny in the 1940s, this wine has grown with the nation. Penfolds Club is blended from more than 200 components to offer the complexity and consistency that is expected of the Penfolds 'house' style and has an average age of three years.

310 years and still going strong
Taylor’s Special Tawny Port is characterised by smoothness and is a relatively full tawny, with a pronounced fruity character. This blended port, selected from lighter wines made in the Douro, is aged in wooden casks of around 600 litres for three years before being bottled. This provides smoothness and gives the wine the slightest hint of wood.
Taylor's is the largest and one of the oldest Port houses in Portugal. Taylor’s Special Tawny Port is particularly popular in Continental Europe where it is drunk predominantly as an aperitif. For those preferring a lighter style, this versatile port can also be enjoyed after meals and should be served slightly chilled in the summer months.

"fresh and youthful with raspberry and cherry flavours"
"long and intense finish"
"Deep and lively Ruby colour. The wine is full-bodied and has very appealing red fruit driven aromas. On the palate, fresh and youthful with raspberry and cherry flavours, combined with a long and intense finish."
The grapes used in the production of Dow's Fine Ruby were a blend of traditional Portuguese varieties from the Douro Valley, such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz and Tinto Co. Dow's Fine Ruby was aged in seasoned oak casks at our lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia for an average of 3 years, and bottled when ready to drink. Exuberant youthful fruit flavours make it perfect for informal... Read more »

"Waimea's most lush ‘sticky’ to date with very high residual sugar and intense flavours and complexity"
Champion Dessert Wine Trophy: Romeo Bragato Wine Awards
The 2004 Noble Riesling is undoubtedly Waimea's most lush ‘sticky’ to date with very high residual sugar and intense flavours and complexity – Botrytis influence is clearly evident. Musky citrus, marmalade and subtle oak all feature on the nose. Mouthfilling sweetness is balanced by good acidity and a lower alcohol, resulting in a wine of distinction and character. Sublime with blue cheese. Winemakers Notes
From the first vintage release of a trophy-winning Sauvignon Blanc in 1997, Waimea Estates has attracted... Read more »

Aromas of grapefruit and apricot with a hint of honey
Pale gold colour on release. Aromas of grapefruit and apricot with a hint of honey. A great balance of acidity and sweetness, with a long finish to savour over after dinner, cheese and conversation Enjoy now or cellar carefully for the next 5 years. Winemakers Notes
In 1989 the unlikely combination of two windsurfing mates restauranteur Chris Gambitsis and police detective Phil Binnie decided that enjoying wine was not enough and what they really wanted to do was grow grapes and make wine. In true kiwi fashion, they jumped in the deep end, and set about establishing the notoriously stony Falcon Vineyard. They named their fledgling operation Lake Chalice Wines, after the wilderness lake in the Richmond range bordering the north of the Wairau... Read more »

THE ARISTOCRAT OF VINTAGE PORT!
With a history extending back to the 17th Century, Taylor's are universally acknowledged as one of the World's leading Port producers, by using the best fruit from their superior vineyards in the Douro valley, and entirely traditional methods to make their Port (the grapes are even crushed under foot!).
"A big wine with superb balance, a shining example of this exuberantly fruity vintage. Deep ruby, with violets and coffee on the nose, full-bodied, with dried cherry flavors and plenty of tannin, balanced and long on the finish." - 97/100 Wine Spectator
