BIG, RICH, RIPE, SPICY SPANISH FRUIT-BOMB!

This wine comes from the Spanish region of Cariñena where vines have been cultivated since the 3rd century BC! Cariñena is thought to be the birthplace of Grenache (Garnacha) variety.

"A remarkable wine, this Old Vine Garnacha is so rich and concentrated with a classic Garnacha bouquet of spicy raspberry, cherry and white pepper, with a floral quality emerging with air. Medium to full-bodied on the palate with sweet red berry preserve flavours, velvety tannins but nevertheless a serious structure. Top stuff."

The grapes for this wine are hand-picked off vineyards that average 30 years of age, then fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in American oak barrels. Saturated purple in colour, with lots of woodsmoke, lead pencil, and cedar on the nose. On the palate, it is full-flavoured, layered and long. Outstanding value.

EXPERTLY CRAFTED CLASSIC RIOJA

Like a giant fluffy-duster, Marques de Caceres have swept away "the cobwebs of old-school Rioja and revolutionised the region with their cutting-edge approach to wine production. Matured for 16 months in French oak barriques and a further 14 months in bottle, this is modern Rioja Crianza.

"Bright ruby red in appearance, the nose is dominated by aromas of raspberry, dark plum, cinnamon and vanilla. Round and balanced on the palate with silky tannins and a soft, red-fruited finish."
