Description

This wine is deep garnet in colour and offers a fine, complex nose with notes of wild strawberry, Morello cherry and mocha. Full-bodied and elegant on the palate with pure, complex flavours of cherry and spices. Very long on the finish.

This stylish 2012 has the powerful yet silky red fruit of Pinot Noir enhanced by smoky oak. It's complex, soft and long. Open for two to three hours before drinking to allow its full flavours to unfurl. Serve with grilled red meats or, even better, with Burgundian specialities coq au vin or boeuf bourguignon.

The vines grow at the foot of the Cévennes range and the Montagne Noire at an altitude of between 250 and 600 meters: an ideal location for making wines that are all about delicacy and crispness. Elegant and complex, these varietals express the purity of the fruit over floral notes. These are wines characterized by their balance between aromatic power and minerality, due to the diversity of the soils (limestone, sandstone, clay, schist, volcanic rock).
