The Fire Road Chardonnay has an expressive nose with characters of fresh peaches, apricot and a subtle spice. The fruit from a number of quality vineyard sites throughout Marlborough was harvested at optimum ripeness to produce a Chardonnay rich with fresh fruit flavours. Beautifully balanced with a soft round palate of ripe peach and flavours of refreshing stone fruit which lead to a delicate finish.
Drinking well now this wine will continue to reward with careful cellaring for three to four years from vintage date. Delicious on its own, or well matched with roast chicken, sashimi or seafood.
