"Vibrant tropical fruit and grapefruit aromas follow up on the palate"
Vibrant tropical fruit and grapefruit aromas follow up on the palate and combine with herbal and capsicum flavours that lead to a long, minerally finish.
To preserve the flavours and textures of our fruit, we use gentle crushing, cold fermentations in temperature contolled stainless steel tanks and non-oxidative winemaking techniques.
Rain in late December and early January broke up long dry spells and set the vines up for the harvest season ensuring there was no stress on the fruit. A warm growing season enabled ripening at lower than average sugar levels, resulting in more intense flavours at lower alcohol levels. Rain in late April did not cause any major issues, given that the majority of fruit was already harvested. What was left benefitted from cool, sunny and windy days.
