“Bright, pale straw-green colour, pale on edge, with a fine bead that soon dissipates. This has a softly full nose of uncomplicated gooseberry fruit with some passionfruit aromas. Off-dry and light-bodied, this is soft and gentle with restrained gooseberry, lime and apple confectionary flavours. Good effervescence lifts the fruit aromatic characters and provides a soft, attractively frothy and lively mouthfeel, the acidity adding to the freshness on the palate. The wine finishes with upfront gooseberry and tropical fruit notes. The palate has finesse with its fresh zingy passionfruit and underlying herbaceous characters. The lively sparkle bounces on the tongue. The finish is long and pleasant framed by fine acidity. Drink well chilled as an aperitif.
