"Nicely flowing and very drinkable"

4 stars (87/100 points): Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

"Well priced and delightfully flavoured, this youthful Pinot is fragrant on the nose displaying red/black cherry, floral and spice characters. The palate is ripe and well fruited with smooth texture and supple tannins. Nicely flowing and very drinkable. At its best: now to 2014." Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

Marlborough fruit for this wine comes from select vineyards in the Omaka Valley and the mouth of the Waihopai Valley. The wine was aged in stainless steel tanks and a portion in seasoned French oak.

Bright and lifted raspberry, delicate florals, fresh strawberry and some savoury notes. Deliciously juicy with a fine tannin structure and subtle oak. Excellent acidity provides complete balance and a long silky, smooth finish. Fantastic to drink on its own or and absolute winner with barbecued chicken pizza, roast lamb or warm pumpkin and feta salad.

Drinking beautifully from the outset, this wine can be enjoyed young or with careful cellaring, will mature into a fuller, more complex wine that can be enjoyed for a number of years to come.
