"layered, generous, focused, and fruit driven with classical Marlborough acidity"

Gold Medal: Royal Easter Show 2012

"The nose shows tropical and citrus fruits and an intense nettle/ passionfruit character. The palate is layered, generous, focused, and fruit driven with classical Marlborough acidity giving structure and length."

The winemakers recommend that you try this wine with marinated baked salmon fillet garnished with a fresh caper, Italian parsley and tomato salsa

The grapes for this wine are a blend of two company owned vineyards in the Wairau Valley. The majority of grapes coming off our Northbank vineyard, grown on river bed rock and trained to four cane vertical shoot positioning, and grown on thin yield inhibiting rocky soil, trained to two cane vertical shoot positioning.

The ripening period was characterised by Marlborough’s typical warm sunny days and cool clear nights allowing our grapes to achieve desired ripeness levels while retaining acid balance.
