This wine has a vivid violet hue. This Pinot Noir is showing chocolate and cherry aromas mingled with hints of oak. The wild fermentation along with extended lees maturation in barrel have added complexity and texture to the palate. This has resulted in a supple wine with good weight and fruit intensity. Winemakers Notes
After exploring the globe's wine producing areas and working many consecutive vintages in Italy, Jules settled back into Marlborough helping to produce award winning wines for the likes of Kim Crawford, Saint Clair and Cape Campbell. Around this time she decided to start her own brand kicking off with a tiny production using the best Marlborough fruit she could get her hands on, and thank goodness for us she did! It's been ten years since the moonlighting project that launched Jules Taylor Wines began in the back of the Marlborough Valley Cellars. Since then the brand has collected a growing number of accolades as well as a sizable fan base throughout the world, a band of people that seek out the interesting and appealing. Her philosophy from the start has been to create wines that are eminently drinkable from first glass to last.
