"It's deeply coloured and beautifully fragrant on the nose, displaying blueberry, dark plum, floral and spice characters. The palate is ripe and dense with a rounded mouthfeel and fine chalky tannins providing a lovely dry finish. An impressively fruited and engaging red with bold flavours and a striking palate. At its best: now to 2014." Sam Kim, The Wine Orbit.
The 2009 vintage is a classy, fruit-packed Gimblett Gravels red, French oak-matured. Floral, rich and supple, with deep, bright colour, it has fresh blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, a subtle seasoning of nutty oak, and excellent concentration.
Distinctive and intensely flavoured wines from Central Otago and Hawkes Bay.
