“Vibrant and pure, the fruit is beautifully expressed in this appealing Sauvignon, displaying lime zest, passionfruit and capsicum characters on the nose. The palate is lively and intense with excellent fruit intensity and a refreshing finish. Superbly priced, this is most enjoyable.” At its best: now to 2013. 13% Screw cap.

“The prehistoric tuatara reptile, which this label is linked to, can still be found on Stephens Island in the Marlborough Sounds. Made from fruit from varied vineyard sources in Marlborough, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc., and 3.3 g/L rs. Very pale straw-yellow with a very pale edge, this has an intense and tightly expressed nose of pungent passionfruit with fresh herb notes. Dry on palate, this is a finely proportioned and elegant wine with good intensity and some concentration of passionfruit flavours. The acidity is fresh and provides liveliness and good cut, and allows the fruit to be the feature. The wine has a soft, sustained finish. Match with seafood, poultry and vegetables over the next 2+ years." Raymond Chan, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews
Made from grapes from a quality vineyard sites throughout the Marlborough Valley. Aromas of gooseberry, melon and underlying herbal notes take giant leaps from the glass and make you want to take a large sip straight away. A light bodied, dry, crisp wine with typical delicious Marlborough flavours of gooseberry, passionfruit and nettles. Mouthwatering acidity leads to a lip smacking finish. Enjoy with barbecued scallops or mussels cooked in garlic butter and wine, or perfect with a platter of seafood, cheese, fresh bread and dips. Drinking at its best now or will cellar for up to two years from vintage date.
