"a powerful wine with mulberry and raspberry fruit characters"

"Dark berry fruit aromas are enhanced with subtle chocolate and sweet lifted vanilla from the American oak. The unique character of the Limestone Coast helps us to create a powerful wine with mulberry and raspberry fruit characters coupled with an undertone of oak and chocolate. It is a rich full flavoured wine with fine grained tannins delivering a soft warm mouth feel."

Fruit sourced from our Old Mundulla Vineyard located on the Limestone Coast in South Australia was used in the production of this wine. The cool conditions throughout most of the growing season resulted in the grapes having very intense varietal and regional characteristics as well as a rich deep colour.
After the fruit was harvested and crushed it was inoculated and fermented at 18 degrees over a seven-day period. After pressing off skins, the wine was matured in new and one-year-old American oak baroques for 12 months. No filtration was carried out during the winemaking process.
