"The 2008 Foxes Island Pinot Noir has a pale to medium ruby color and intense cranberry and red currant aromas with some spearmint and moss covered bark. Medium bodied, there’s a good amount of red berry flesh with a low to medium level of fine tannins and high acid to support. The finish is long." Wine Advocate – Lisa Perrotti-Brown, MW
"Ruby-red in colour with pale garnet hues on edge, this has a full, fragrant near-etheral bouquet of ripe strawberries, raspberries and cherry liqueur, the aromatics showing elegance and delicacy. Refined, Fine-grained and delicate, the red floral flavours are allied to darker berry fruit notes, complexed with savoury dried herb and oak notes. The fruit dances across the palate with precision and is kept in excellent tension by the acidity. Reminiscent of Chambolle Musigny red burgundy" Raymond Chan Wine Reviews
This succulent wine has aromas of violets and English rose with seductive flavours of mocha, dark fruits and subtle toasty notes supported by long, rumbling tannins. The wine’s dense fruit core will continue to unfold over time, making this wine a delight to drink over the next ten to fifteen years. – John Belsham, Winemaker
