"It's gentle and smooth on the palate"
4 STARS: Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
"The nose is nicely fragrant, displaying red/black cherry, mixed spice and a hint of mushroom characters. It's gentle and smooth on the palate with good fruit intensity and soft tannins leading to a lovely dry finish. It's supple and very approachable. At its best: now to 2012" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
The fruit for our 2009 Redwood Pass Pinot Noir were harvested from low yielding premium vineyards across Marlborough. To preserve flavours and textures of our fruit we utilise gentle crushing, and cold soaking. During fermentation we use traditional plunging techniques to retain vibrant colour and tannin structure.
The 2009 shows bright lifted aromas and vibrant black cherry fruit flavours with subtle integrated oak and soft tannins.
