5 STARS: Michael Cooper

4.5 STARS: Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

"THE 2008 IS A TOP VINTAGE, HIGHLY SCENTED, WITH FULL, YOUTHFUL COLOUR, IT IS VERY GENEROUS, SAVOURY AND SWEET-FRUITED, WITH DEEP CHERRY, PLUM AND SPICE FLAVOURS, SEASONED WITH NUTTY OAK AND A SOFT, RICH FINISH" Michael Coopers Buyers Guide to New Zealand Wines

"An impressive Pinot displaying perfumed aromas of dark cherry, mushroom, floral and subtle cedary oak. It's concentrated on the palate with velvety texture and gently drying tannins. The wine is expansive and full of delicious flavours. It's just starting to show some bottle developed savoury mushroom notes, making the wine quite irresistible" Sam Kim.

**** "Very nice Marlborogh pinot"
**** "Not as good as we had been led to believe..."
**** "For those of you who (like me) are not Central Otago "purists", this Marlborough Pinot is where its at. Big and round with long legs. Drinking really well now and seems as if it can cellar as well. Well worth the mid 20s price."
