Hawke's Bay Sauvignon Blanc provides fresh stonefruit characters, complementing the trademark gooseberry and tropical fruit of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Ripe lime and melon flavours from the Semillon blend to give a complex, rich and easy drinking style that matches well with a range of foods or is perfect for drinking unaccompanied. A fruity style that is very approachable young, this wine will also cellar well for 3-5 years.

"When Sileni Estates started producing Sauvignon Blanc in 2002 it was with an emphasis on a riper style of Sauvignon Blanc with good palate weight. Our use of Hawke's Bay Semillon in all of our Sauvignon Blanc adds a richness to the wine that helps to tame some of the overt aromatics and provides flavour complexity that ensures a food friendly style. With a string of trophies and gold medals for our style of Sauvignon Blanc we think we are on to a winner!

As a Blackmarket exclusive we are delighted to launch the 2008 Overstone East Coast Sauvignon Blanc / Semillon just in time for Christmas. A blend of 75% Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Hawke's Bay Semillon ensures that this is a great food wine, that is perfect as an aperitif and fantastic with fresh seafood and Asian cuisine.
